Finding the perfect makeup can be such a challenge! I feel like it took me forever… but I finally found the perfect makeup that I absolutely love. I am going to take you through my daily routine of the makeup I wear and the order that I apply it.
After primer I apply my foundation. I don’t know about you, but I am extremely picky about my foundations. There are so many different foundations out there, but they all seem to have problems. They either look too dewy, cakey, make my face feel really nasty (the problems could go on forever). This foundation is amazing… seriously. It is the Estee Lauder Double Wear. If there is one thing that you get from this post… get this foundation! I apply it with with a foundation brush, then I blend it with Chanel #7 brush. When I have everything blended I conceal under my eyes with the Temptu Undereye Concealer. I like this one, but I am about to try Estee Lauder’s undereye concealer and I am so excited. If it is anything like their foundation it will probably be a new favorite!
Next, I set my makeup with a powder. The powder I use on a daily basis is Lorac POREfection Baked Perfecting Powder. Setting your makeup with a powder (after you apply foundation and also when you are completely finished) is so important. It helps your makeup last all day and it also keeps your face from looking shiny/oily. I can’t find a powder I love more than the Lorac powder.
Once I have applied my powder, I put on my blush. Blush is my weakness because you can never have too many and you don’t have to stick to just one. It is one part of my makeup routine that changes daily. For today, I used the Lorac Baked Matte Satin Blush in the color Exposed. One of my favorite things about this blush is it works really well into the Lorac Powder and you can make it really natural looking, or a bit more dramatic. (I will link a few of my other favorite blushes below)
Before I finish up with all my face makeup, I like to add a little bit of contour under my cheek bone with my MAC bronzing powder. I also apply this with my slanted brush. I usually don’t make it very dramatic, but it looks so pretty to have a bit of contour there and accentuate your cheek bones.
When I am done with my face makeup I do my eyebrows. There are two products that I use everyday for my eyebrows and they are the Jouer Brow Definer and Bobbi Brown Brow Shaper. I use the Jouer pencil first and fill in my eyebrows. Then I use the Bobbi Brown Brow Shaper to keep them in place. (Sometimes when I am feeling lazy I only use the Bobbi Brown Brow Shaper. I use the blonde color).
Before I do anything with my eyelashes, I apply eyeliner to my top lashline. Sometimes I use my liquid liner from Jouer, and other times I use my pencil liner from Urban Decay. I usually don’t wear eyeshadow, but if I do I would apply it now before I do my eyelashes. I will link my favorite eyeshadows below! Now comes the dreaded eyelashes (I feel like this is every girls least favorite/most time consuming part of putting on makeup…. but not mine!!) I wear false eyelashes almost everyday. A lot of people ask me how I put them on/keep them on everyday. It takes a little practice, but I PROMISE YOU it is super easy once you get the hang of it. I prefer putting them on, rather than mascara, because it is faster and I get the results that I want (never a bad eyelash day ;) I use the Ardell Demi Wispies and love them. They aren’t too dramatic so they can be worn everyday. I buy the four pack, and can usually get about a week’s wear with each pair of lashes. Once the lashes are on I put on a light coat of Bobbi Brown Everything Mascara to bind my real eyelashes with the fake ones. To finish up I tightline my eyes with the Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner.
Last, is my favorite part… LIPS! I love any pink lipstick, especially if it’s blush pink. Like the blush, I usually don’t wear the same color everyday. The lip liner I used today is MAC Hip N’ Happy, and the lipstick is MAC Creme Cup.
So there you have it! I have linked all the products I used below.
